Many people have noticed that the whole aquaponics evangelism period that started around 2010 finally died off around 2020. This was a blessing because of all the exaggerated and false information that was being spread. The most prominent charlatans on the scene have dried up and vaporized. There are now only 4 or 5 useful YouTube channels dedicated to aquaponics with Rob Bob in the #1 position.

I have posted a few aquaponics related YouTube shorts this week and they actually got more views than others that I have posted in the past few years on other topics. [Video 1] [Video 2] [Video 3] The hits on these really took me by surprise because I don’t have a large channel and most of what I post on YouTube are distillation related videos. I will post more in order to see if this is a new trend or luck.

This week I created 3D models to simplify flood and drain bed builds, based on Rob Bob’s Chop & Flip IBC aquaponics systems and made these 3D models free to download. After building bell siphons in the past, I know how error-prone they can be, so I made two models that pretty much guarantee that they work right out of the box. If you’re building an IBC based flood and drain bed, these are what you need!

Lastly, assembled and tested CZ Pellet Stove Controllers are soon to be available for purchase. These controllers do not require a Climate Czar Server in order to operate, they will work just fine as a stand-alone pellet stove controller replacement for any pellet stove. These will sell for $165 which is far more affordable than any manufacturer’s replacement controller, with a heck of a lot more capabilities!
